Master Class of Paper Fan Art (2018/9/29)

The art of literati-style fan is a combination of Chinese painting and calligraphy. To create a painted fan in the traditional style, one needs to consider the composition carefully while making timely adjustments according to the shape, the material, and even one’s mood. We hope that through this activity, participants can master the special skills that are needed to design a handmade painted fan, which are painting, handwriting, stamping, and inserting the ribs,as the basics to create a literati-style fan in future.
