To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the University, and to inspire the next generation to enjoy reading and foster appreciation of Chinese classics, the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology launched an environmentally-friendly“Book Recycling” event yesterday.Over 200University students, secondary school students and members of the public who are interested in Chinese literature participated this event to pick the books and share in the inspiration and wisdom from classic works.
Nearly 3,000 books were selected by Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology for this Book Recycling event. The topics cover Classical studies from Pre-Qin to Qing dynasty, modern and contemporary Chinese Literature, Foreign Literature, Linguistics and Philosophy etc.
